OH BOY!
I am having massive frustration today and just need to vent a little. Hope you all don't mind! First of all, being sick while trying to care for a child just stinks! It was hard enough when I was sick and still had to go to my job. By the time I got off work, I was exhausted but I could come home and collapse for the rest of the night! And I could sleep hard all night long, which always helps me feel better! Now, I feel like crap and Isaac wakes me up all night long and then since I have gotten no sleep I feel even worse. For those of you who don't know, I have had mono 5 separate times, so I tend to be wary of feeling this type of exhaustion! It doesn't help that my 15 month old is still not on a normal nightly sleeping pattern..........something that I will be elaborating more on in another post as I am desperate! He is currently refusing to sleep in his crib and screaming as we speak! I have never been a fan of crying it out but this is getting ridiculous! I REALLY need a break and more specifically a nap, but since he is screaming I will not be able to sleep anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and I forgot to mention that because my hubby is in school as well as working full time, he has not been home the past 2 evenings and will not be around tonight until after Isaac's bedtime as well! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Sorry Liz! I can say all mommy's can relate to your frustration, I can say chocolate sometimes helps, I can say it's normal for 15 month olds to want mom all the time. NONE OF THAT HELPS when all you want is quiet...and perhaps some alcohol:) Hang in there, someday that sweet baby will be 15 YEARS old instead and then you'll be blogging a whole different set of worries!!!
Maybe you're pregnant! ;) Actually, I always think EVERYONE is pregnant, so maybe not. :)
mrs. sara--i promise you i'm not pregnant:) i p r o m i s e
LOL! ;) I didn't think so.
Every once in a while, I will have some weird symptom and think I am pregnant, but I would be pretty surprised if I was!
I had Mono when Zachary was 3 mos old.or so and when I'm not taking care of myself or under lots of stress...I feel very tired, my throat starts aching, etc... I know that is my sign to rest as much as possible.
That said, I've been tired for 7 years. LOL! Zachary sleeps through the night for the most part and I'm still tired. Motherhood is just a tiring job full of responsibilities 24 hours a day. I don't think anyone expects it to be this hard. I will pray that you get that much needed rest.
I know all about the baby not wanting to sleep in his crib and screaming deal. Honestly, you have to get to the point of doing whatever it takes to get sleep. I'm not trying to force co-sleeping onto you, but I suggest you get creative and think outside of the box (crib). LOL! He is still very young in the big picture of things and he will outgrow the need to sleep with or near you in time. I have Xander as proof of that. But, think of other sleeping arrangements (whether it's co-sleeping, moving his crib into your room, etc...) as survival at this point. Good Luck!
